Hey everybody . . . the other day my Australian buddy Dan the Man (married a Kiwi girl so he lives over here) asked me to service his lovely immaculate Gen 2 Busa before Christmas . . mmmm, cutting it fine bud, but I said OK, drop it off . .
He dropped it off this morning, but he had an "extra little job" on it for me to do . . .aha, ok, hmmmm... what is it? I asked.
He handed me two plastic bags with wiring and bulb holders and relays and LED bulbs.
It turned out to be a integrated tail lamp kit to make the rear blinkers flash red 5 times the go solid red every time you apply brakes, but also incorporate the amber colour blinkers if theyre switched on, very smart little device.
But . . also, a wiring kit for the front blinkers to both be daytime running lamps but still operate as amber coloured blinkers.
No instructions.
So anyway after 4 hours I got them fitted and working and they work amazing!!
Only one problem, they don't comply with our Warrant of Fitness regime. . .blinking stop lamps not allowed.
He doesn't give a rats about that lol.

Here's a couple short vids I took of them working,
most of you guys here have probably seen this before in the US, you guys are way ahead in products like this, compared to NZ lol.
It's made by an Australian guy in Queensland, basically he's the "Smithabusa" of Australia.
The Brand is called "Shifting Gears", the product is called "Switchback blinker/stop lamp kit"

There are lots of HD here with flashing stop lights which do the same sort of thing......many of the also have wig-wag headlights.......

A cop friend of mine I spoke to said they do nothing to stop these bikes from being involved in car induced accidents....He's been to many accident scenes where the driver said they didn't see the bike even though it had flashing brake lights and wig-wag head light......he said he even been to a couple where the rider was outfitted in high vis gear including his helmet and the drivers said she didn't see the bike.................he said when he was coming onto the scene, he saw the rider from a long way back.....

I have a bright HID headlight and a yellow bike and I've almost had people do left turns in front of me.....I don't trust anyone when I'm riding.
