on another subject, which i hope you can help. Tyres (or tires for usa!). i always run standard rear and soft front on all my bikes. Problem is, NO bike dealer is willing to put a soft (corse pirelli/D207 GP/Pilot SP etc) on the front of mine unless i sign a bloody disclaimer and invalidate my warranty and insurance !! I know it makes sense for a sticky front, but Mich/Pirelli/Dunlop all say no . . what gives ? and have you got over the problem ? or are you running std compound fr/rear ??

YES I KNOW OF JEFF, HE USED TO RIDE AN FJ1200 WITH THE BIGGEST F!!K OFF PANNIERS YOU COULD FIND, DIDNT REALISE HE HAD PROGRESSED TO A DECENT BIKE . . . . DO YOU ALSO KNOW PETER RATCLIFF ?? OR HIS SON MARTIN?? . . . GOOD GOD, WHAT A SMALL WORLD!!

Bloke on Busa + students is my mate Jeff who owns M/c school at ampthill roundabout. He got a '00 blk. busa. We go huntin' ZX's together!! & I do work on his bike for him as his mechanical knowledge goes as far as my spelin' skylls!!!!

Quite cheap too. And they do it while you wait, clean, balance and refit. You can watch too. They don't scratch yer rim, unlike other shops!!

Reason they won't do it is coz they all think the J spec is So F**ing special that nothing else will do. Flit M/c fitted D207 to mine for me.
