Colder in the Northern part of California if you surf, from San Francisco to San Cruz,need wet suit. L.A area some warm spots, and San Diego is even warmer and as you get into Mexico even warmer. Our Ocean is colder due to the fact the Ocean currents come from Alaske on the way down to Washington, California as for the East coast I found the water to be warmer in Virgina, Boston area due to the Currents come up from the Gulf. Glad to hear you like my home state. I'm in Southern Cali and experience this great stuff all year round. The water coming south is a bit warmmer than what you dipped in. However, the beaches up north are a bit cleaner. But you'll love San Diego. I lived there for 6 years and still plan on making it back there to live some day.

I am currently in California, doing some Army training with my unit, and just wanted to let you guys know that I love your state. This is my first time here in Cali and I have to tell you that this state rocks!

I have been to San Jose, Pismo Beach, and to the Mid State Fair in Paso Robles. I love all this stuff. I have one question though, does the water get any warmer than what it is right now? I will be in San Diego for about two weeks. The only thing I don't like are the prices... good God!
