Forgot the DAMN bike lock

For those of you who have not done this (yet) let me tell you what happens. I left the front bike lock on and backed the bike up. Usally you hear a "klang" and the bike stops. NOT ON A HAYABUSA!!!!!! the weight of the bike causes the lock to break right through the wheel gaurd. now I am looking for another one. Does anyone know where I can get a red one?

I had the same thing happened when somebody tried to steal my 'Busa. Call Jim at Sunrise Auto & Cycle (800)992-0127. He sold me one for ~$135.

OUCH !! thats way i will never use a disk lock.... if I had a quarter for every time I heard that story I would be rich.

Just use the steering lock or a garage.. If they are gonna steal it they will pick it up and carry it off... They wont roll it off anyway, thats to slow.

Sad thing is if they really want your bike that bad... They WILL get it and theres nothing we can do.


I hope it didnt warp your rotar that would even be worse. they are expensive !

Put it on the back wheel! If they want it bad enough they'll just pick it up and take it. I really just use it as a visual deterent along with my alarm system.
