I hate to create new threads so I look for related topics.

This question is somewhat related to fork work.

How do you remove the front fender? ... and ...
How do you remove this fender's main brake line bracket?  The one on the right side of the fender (when you're sitting on the bike - the right side).

The brake line attachments that runs from one side to the other are easy to remove when you take the front fender off but the main line bracket is held on with a couple of ... what looks sort of like a cross between a rivet and a flat nut screw thingy?

I had to compress the fender to fit it between the forks with this bracket still on.  I put a scratch on my fork doing this but you can't see it ... except I know its there and it ticks me off.

Is there a special tool to get these fasteneres out?  its not a push pin.  I don't know what it is.

Use a pair pliers to compress the rivet holding the brakeline on the underside of the front fender and push through the hole.

Voila !!!

Thanks rhythm but that's not the one i was asking about.  Those two hose "brackets" (for lack of a better name) are easy to pop out.

Its the main brake line dropping down from above that has a bracket that has two "rivets/or something" holding hose in place.

Its fairly easy to pop the hose out of this "c" shaped holder but the bracket itself is attacked to the fender with two rivet like thingy's.

this bracket is what I would like to be able to remove from the fender so I can easily get the fender through the forks.

OH MY GOSH!! ... as I was typing this (and since I'm not with my bike right now) ... I realized I didn't try to drop the fender out the back side instead of pulling it through the front ... I'm heading to the garage now to see if this is possible.

Surely I would have noticed if I could ... but I have to go see.  (damn, some of the most obvious things are hard to see ...

I checked it out. You can't get the fender out through the back way.

It has to come thru the front ... which means the bracket in question must pass through the forks ... and It ain't easy without the "c" shaped clip the brake line fits in ... scratching by the fork.

anyone know how to take this bracket off (on put it back on)?

(ks-waterbug @ Sep. 09 2006,08:55) Those are pop rivets.... Must be drilled off
Exactly ! I just let mine hang on the side of the fender after I drilled them out on my first Busa and never had a problem with them that way. Or you can do it the right way and buy a rivet gun and rivet from my favorite hang out (LOWES)
