First off, great site. Second the polish job looks great even on the stock canisters. Definately a one of a kind Busa you got there. Also, looking at the Zero Gravity DB on your bike, it's a must have for me. Just ordered one online. Thanks for the info!

Martin, the second side will go quicker.

Just spend more time with the sanding process, it pays off!

Most of your time gets spent on the cast part, start off with 80 grit and go until you see the little cast pits disappear!

Then start your grit steps with the sand paper to get the sanding marks out, go all the way until your into 400 or 600 grit, then bring on the.....polisher.

Rarely does anybody get on thier knees to look how good you done the swingarm, just get a descent shine cause you'll probably want to hit it again this coming winter.

Chrome wheels and a polished frame are usually the main topic's of discussion when your bike is getting looked at.

When My friends with red/silver Busa's come over, your Bikes one of the first I show them for a reference. (that should help you get the frame finished) :)

Looks great Martin, I did my wheel lips at work on Saturday. Took six hours but was worth the effort. Only cost 8 dollars for the paint stripper and I had the buffing compounds ( tripoli and white rouge ) and 6 hours of brewery company time, also a few bucks for the tire re & re. Keep up the good work and my compliments on your excellent site.

It looks like it's starting to shape up pretty nicely...Martin!

Are you staring to get the "I don't want to do this anymore" feeling yet?

The pic that shows the buffer in it; is that type of buffing pad you've used on the entire project?

I know it's hard to obtain the deep shine with that kind.

I use a 6 inch buffing wheel pad, the kind you normaly use on a bench grinder.

How long did it take you to finish one side?

That's "Exactly" the kind of feeling I'm getting.. :)
That's what I have been using, probably why i t takes about 6 hours or more a side. I think a 4inch disc grinder and abrasive pads would be the way to go, but this works too.
The swing arm needs in now.......

Looks sweet Martinm2. Now, where can I find instructions on doing the job myself? I'm ready to make the change.
