When I bought my 08, I had them install frame sliders. They cut a hole in my fairing to install them, I kinda wish they did not cut a hole in my fairings cuz I hit a deer last year and it ripped the whole right side of my fairing off, anyways I had to replace my whole right side fairing and now I only have one frame slider on my left side unless I want to go to the dealer and have them cut a whole in my new right side fairing:laugh:

I think its best if ya get frame slider and install them without cutting a hole in your fairing.

They did save me once thou, a week after I bought my 08 I dropped it and the clutch lever broke off, no damage to the fairing, it gave me a good excuse to get pazzo shortys:laugh:

Mine are normal looking custom made 4 inch long for both sides black derlin made sliders

race rails

scroll down to my post..I have race rails on mine, the pics i put up arent to good but i have better ones on my home PC (im at work).. PM me if you would like to see more detailed pics.

This is the best pic I have on my work computer, I made these because I didn't want to drill into a $500.00 piece of plastic. I couldn't find any no drill sliders that I liked to I made some out of aluminum, I have never tested them and hope I don't ever get to but after comparing to others that are drilled mine seem to stick out a little furter.
