I took a leap of faith by riding my busa home from the dealership after being off a bike for about 6yrs.... but, yeah, I did it. Without a motorcycle license/insurance just to get the bike home. That was "trusting myself". But cutting up my bike on my own when I do not have the slightest clue... that scares me!Sometimes you gotta take a leap of faith...
Me too! I used this method and worked great!Very easy and worked like a charm.
If you read some of my first posts here on the org, from April of this year I was talking about not doing ANYTHING even remotely mechanical or technically to my Busa because I felt I wasn't capable. A few weeks later, with the phone support of fellow .org member BrendanP, I taking a sawzall to my 06 Busa to install an undertail.I took a leap of faith by riding my busa home from the dealership after being off a bike for about 6yrs.... but, yeah, I did it. I DO want framesliders, though... I'll probably get some put on this summer. I just don't know the best ones to get yet. I'm looking around.
Yeah, well, I don't have a Smithers...does he have a brother in FL?I had my man Smithers do mine for 30 bucks...and MAN!!! Perfect cut!!! I would rather a professional do it than myself
One, I assume you are kidding (I'm not sure with you anymore) and two the ones that don't require drilling are very expensive and will likely fold up on you to boot. With drilled sliders, which are much more affordable, you can simply buy new slider ends to attach when you burn up the old ones.Would someone (or a few) be willing to gently lay their bike on its side to show us how the sliders protect the fairing from hitting the pavement? I'd like to see some pics.
