Posted the same question on the Gen2-board but I though I'd increase my chances by posting here as well. Just wondering if it's possible to do a direct swap between the older model and the newer?
Currently I have a 2006 model front fork on my project bike (an old GSX1100) but I'm looking at upgrading to a set of newer Ohlins forks with radial calipers meant for the Gen2 Hayabusa.
The older fork has the following dimensions:
Upper triple: 50mm
Lower triple: 56mm
Wheel spindle: 32mm
Anyone got an idea if the newer Gen2 forks have the same dimensions? Spacing between the discs and such isn't really an issue at this point. When that times I can sort it out either with custom made discs (got connections for that) or some spacers.
Putting my faith in you guys. lease:
Cheers.
