hey i'm in the process of building a streetfighter from a 1987 CBR 1000 and was thinkin about usin a busa front fork setup on it. i'm wondering what kinda mods everyone has done to the forks or are they good enough that you havent messed with them. i was also wondering if most of the brakes and wheels were left stock or if theres some good upgrades for those too. thanks for the info.

by the looks of the front end it won't fit.even if you could change out the triple tree's to make it work,a gixxer 1000 front end would be better.if not a newer CBR front end.as far as the busa forks, the springs are a little weak.steel braked brake lines and a sinister brake pad ungrade is a big improovement.
wow!!!do I see a new 1000 tail section and a VFR swingarm?? goodluck on your build

ya i've found that the 929 triples should bolt straight up, the stem might be a different length so i'd have to address that but, i was just doin some searchin an saw that the busa forks were also 43mm so i wanted to see what people thought of them. from what i've seen recently the busa fork setups are sellin for a little bit less then the gsxr or cbr, not sure if thats always the case but just coverin the bases. yea i put the 1000rr tail and vfr swinger on so now i need to update the front end. thanks for the info.

the busa forks will work in the 954 tripple they are longer forks than that of the 1000. if you use the busa forks you must use a busa fender and the busa wheel rotors and calipers. suzuki bandit 1200 calipers would also fit. if you use gsxr forks the calipers must be from that. wheels and rotors im pretty sure interchange. the busa forks are sprung a little light .85 but a set of stock rc51 springs are the right size and come stock at 1.0
