Front lift

Alright, I've searched!

Where/how do you lift the front of the Busa? I've seen the pics and the manual shows a jack underneath. But where are you putting the jack? Headers? Oil pan?

Why you ask? Well we snapped the pin that goes under the triple tree...don't ask...

I don't like those stem lifts, and I never jack from underneath.
I made this tool:
1/2 inch ready rod cut to length, and welded the ring on the end at the right angle.
I put a little silicone to hold the top washer on, but not needed.
And black tape in case it marks.
Put that down the steering stem and the bottom nut and washer on.
A small pulley in the garage rafters and you can pull the front right up. (or engine lift or whatever).
It is supporting the weight of the bike the way it is meant to, through the steering head.

I recommend getting a stem stand. It's really the best tool for the job. I've done the scissor jack and it never felt that stable. A word of warning on the Pitbull Fork Lift converter to Stem stand - it won't allow you to drop your fork. The dedicated stem stand will. The other annoying thing with the stem stand is that you have to remove the front fender for it to work.

Mine works fine with the fender on it. Just put a towel on the fender while going up and down to prevent scratches..

I've got a front stand......what was the question ????.......

Thanks all. I’m searching out a replacement pin right now. I’ll use the jack to relieve a little front end pressure, then use the stand.

Yes, this place does have everything!:beerchug:

What kind of front stand was it that broke? Don't want others to buy that one now do we?
