front sprockets

yes the Gen 1 is a 17 tooth front sprocket. I'm not sure what you mean by a "better" sprocket. Lighter ones, yes. Stronger ones, not neccessary. Shiny ones, yes.

gen one is 17/40 gen 2 is 18/43
there are better ones then oem..vortex, renthal, trimetel to name a few...gen 1 and gen 2 front sprockets do not swap... ie the output shaft is different on a gen 2 then on a gen 1....but you can find anything after market for both from 15-19 for front and like 36 on up for the rear

i run 17/43 on my gen 1 and its just enough extra power to go 0-60 the way i like it without flipping over backwards

I took my front sprocket off to make it lighter...now I just push it everywhere I go~!~

As Commuta said, you can put different sprockets on with a little (very small) advantage to weight...

Any chance they will ever make a sprocket for the BST wheels? I've always like PBI's :beerchug:

The guys are local to me I can ask,I have some marvic vortex and marchesini sprockets,no bst ones but guess I could order one.I wonder if I went to them with stuff they might would make them..

It looks like they would just found this that they make already..
