ok. I gotta vent a little so bare with me. I took my bike to the dealer last monday. The reason was so that they could fix the leaky front fork. Thats makes both now in 2 years. Love that. Plus since they are doing that to go ahead and get me a new tire. plus fix my screw up with the chain. I still as of today do not have the bike back. The tire didnt get in till last friday. but wait, they couldnt do it then cause the parts they had to fix the fork was sold so they couldnt do it and had to order new ones which they said should be in today and they hope to have it done some time tomorrow. I am not very happy. First to take 5 days to get a tire is retarded. I can go to Tires unlimited and get it in 2 days if they dont have it in stock. But even so i could live with that but then to have sold the fork seals that were supposed to go to my bike really pisses me off bad. I am trying to keep it all in perspective cause the weather hasnt been good for riding yet. only a couple of days since they had the bike was it good enough to ride anyway. So I am trying to remain calm about it but it really makes me mad. Its not like I can take it to another dealer cause there isnt one anywhere close to me so i am stuck. I like the guy that runs the shop. He and I get along well. He came highly recommended from a friend of mine and he did get suzuki to cover the first leaky fork when it was technically out of warranty. Its just that it seems that they have a hard time getting or keeping things organized properly if you know what I mean.

Well Im done. sorry for the rant. Im just depressed cause I havent been able to ride for like almost 5 months now because of the weather. My gf said that I need help...lol

Can you actually suffer from depression because of lack of ride time?

Yes you can I'm here to tell you. I'm not only a memember but I should be the president. I live in chicago and I only have been able to ride three times since I brought my 2008 Hayabusa. Now you can imagine how I feel.

Relax my friend, I understand how you feel. It is frustrating. However, if you depend on others, expect things to happen that you dont plan for. I am not preaching because I am in the same boat. I do plan to get a front stand this year and next time I need tires, I will simply take them the wheel and the new tire and say, "here ya go". Good luck, and when you do get to ride, you will feel better. My wife knows I get cranky and hard to live with if I dont get some saddle time. Good luck.

I called today and still they do not have the parts to fix the fork. got the tire though...lol this is like a freakin Greek tragedy. I wish i could do all my own work but i just am not comfortable doing it. I just dont have the technical expertise to do it. much less the patience for it in some cases. I know i should just take a deep breath and realize that the weather is still to bad to ride anyway. temps are getting in the 40 degree area but rain just about every day this month. My only real problem is that they move the bikes outside during the day exposed to the weather. no cover for the bikes. they take them in at night. I think thats what really irritates me the most. my girl never stays out and was never exposed to this amount of rain before. I dont guess its gonna hurt her at all but I just don;t like it. That bike means a lot to me. I know everyone can understand that kind of feeling. I just need to take a deep breath and be patient. At least its not like mid summer. I would be climbing the walls if that was the case for sure.

well maybe time to find a new shop then... I know there a few members around the Dayton area that could help you..

I am 100 miles away..

Hey bogus if you know of anyone please send me the info. I could use all the help i can get. This is just about the only dealer in the area that relatively close..

I know it's a little bit of a haul, about an hour for you, but check out the Zuk shop in Cridersville. It's where I go. I'll get you a number and website in a minute.

I told you they suck. The worst park is they leave your bike outsude all day in the rain. only storing it at night. Hope you get it back today. If not you can look at mine and day dream lol

kervin i appreciate the offer to look at yours. I mean it is like brand new. As I recall your tires are showroom new still. With your chicken strip covering most of the tire I know you are very gentle with it. Oh by the way. It actually has 6 gears ya know...lol

Well got it back finally yesterday. after a week and half later and $350. Well at least I got her back. Put about 100 miles on it yesterday. I feel better. It was a little chilly after a while but I had a smile on my face the whole time...lol. I hope now that I have had both forks fixed. one each year i have had the bike. Hope im finished with that.

ahhh bike shops arn't they great, i have several disaster story's of my own, i cringe if i have to take my bike to one

since you're friends with the guy maybe you should talk to him more about it. In the future stay on top of them with the details. If they say they don't have a tireyou need ask them when they're gonna order it and to let you know when it'll arrive. Once that day comes ask them if they got it and if the repairs will be complete that day. Sometimes by really turing the screws on them they may perform better and also in the future they'll know how important it is to you to get the job done in a reasonable amount of time.

If they still botch the whole thing at least then you can go to the management and give them all the details and ask what they feel can be done to improve things. Just make sure you record detailed incremntal notes.

when I went down there on monday, i think, to check on it in person, he made a point to come to me and apologize for the delay. I guess the tire took 5 days and when it came in on friday someone had sold the fork seals without his knowledge so he had to re order them. It was sort of a bad set of circumstances that kinda took place. The other problem is that they are the only zuk dealer in the area plus they sell and service honda and yamaha. So they are really busy in the shop. Oh well its done and im riding again weather permitting. all is good and im just biding my time till the bash...
