I've seen the other topics about this, but just wanted to check everybodies opinion on what could be causing my problem.
I have a 2003, with a K&N, Yosh RS3 slip-ons, but no PC. It was running fine, I ran my fastest time in the 1/4 mile at the dragsrip of 10.31, before I went there, I put a bottle of octane boost in it and I had no problems. I went back a week later and when I got to about 7-9K RPMs it doesn't really do much, but after 9 it takes off again, resulting in a 12.8 second pass. I checked my plugs, they were a rust color on the electrodes, not black, so I cleaned them off, checked the air filter and it still looked pretty decent. And was gonna check the fuel filter and unlike my old bike it was not inline and I realized its in the tank. I'm assuming that the octane boost crap I put in it must have something to do with it, like breaking up trash in the tank and getting it clogged in my filter. What do you think? It appears that its a PITA to remove the fuel filter...Let me know what you think I should do.
