Fugly Taillight Reflector Thing

I got me an 05, and under the taillight is the fugly reflector/plate light. Did all year busas have this? I'd like to get an undertail, but I hate the two light one that EVERYONE has and I don't mind the stock taillight, but that reflector thing sucks and undertails that work with the stock fugliness aren't too pretty either

I just found this undertail that retains a stock look to the taillight. I'm getting it - but mainly because it should allow me to lower the bike more than the undertail I have now.

If you get an aftermarket tail light such as an LED or Clear Lense you will find that the botton can be removed in many cases.

I just received the motorhead undertail with the ca intergrated tailight.

I'm assuming I'm to dremel the reflector part off.
The tailight will still be sealed??

Does Motorhead make one with a plate holder? I don't really care for the plate on the swing arm, seems like that's asking for the leo's to pull you over, and gives the bike an unbalanced/uneven look.

What did you find out about this? I was going to get that same undertail and integrated tail/turn signal light - but not if I have to dremel anything.

You have to cut off the reflector from the bottom of the taillight, but the taillight is still sealed. I like mine, I think it really cleans up the rear of the bike.

It cuts off real easy and a stock tail light is cheap . But you have to cut the reflector off for most tails that use the stock lens. Motorheads undertail does come with a plate holder but without a light the cops might bother you . You can get lighting boltz they have an LED in them and are made for plates . Motorheads undertail is also the only one piece undertail , it replaces the whole undertail with no cutting of your old fender.
