when i bought my 05' busa it had a ful 4into1 d&d exhaust on it. and it did not have a power commander. i have heard this is bad for the bike. is this true and if so how bad is it. i have been out of work for about 2 months now so it will be a little while before i have the extra cash to buy one ( power commander). please let me here your opinion. also i have a friend who may have an older pc i may be able to buy cheaper. are the pc made for each model bike or can i have 1 reprogrammed to fit.

Get a PC or at least a Cobra FI2000 on that puppy man. The exhaust could be dangerously leaning out your mixture and you could detonate and burn a piston or?

definately a +1 on that. I stuck a Cobra FI2000R on my Busa with just a set of Viper race cans and a BMC filter...and the pc alone made a BIG diff in throttle response and overall power. A Cobra's $197 shipped to your door and it comes with settings for bolt ons or a full exhaust....and it doesn't need any donwloaded maps to mess with...it just plain works

If you want the info for the place I got mine from let me know and I'll round it up for you

So don't cheap out....at least get the Cobra if nothing else. And yes diff years Busa's need diff power commanders. Go to Dynojets website or call them up before buying a used one. I believe 2003 and up use the same one....the PCIII. And the older ones use the PCII. Older busa's had a 16 bit ignition box..newer ones have a 32 bit. Hope we helped you abit

I have a Micron test rode after install wo/PC3.
Then test rode w/ PC3 - so much smoother power with the PC3. Get one.

i was just wondering because the bike runs great it does not backfire and have any noticable flat spots. i spoke with the DandD tech people today and he they test the exhaust on a stock bike with no pc and that the exhaust can not cause damage to the motor.?

Is it possible that the stock computer was re-programmed? I know that the ECU's can be re-programmed, but I don't know how much.

i was told by one mechanic who rode my bike he thinks my computer mapping may have been changed he thinks it was to smooth to have not been. no one knows for sure as i bought the bike used at a dealership.

Muzzys full exhaust. Remapped with a yosh box and dyno. No PC3 needed. Just don't have the flexibility to change maps like a PC3.
