Full exhaust system reliability

Hi Guys(and Girls)
I have few questions about reliability on our bikes when it comes to mods. After doing some research on the mods going on Busas, it looks like the most common it is full exhaust,pc,air filter.
I just ordered a full Hindle exhaust(with stepped pipes)PC, and BMC air filter.Having those mods, obviously I need a map, which sound like the most important thing.
Unfortunatelly I haven't got any answers back from JohnnyCheese (which will be the best bet).
My question is:
Do we loose reliability on these bike doing this mods?
Now after I ordered the parts,I kind of doubting myself. My mechanic is saying that when you get a map downloaded into the usb it tricks the computer to do what the usb wants.
Does that mean that you may win few ponnies on top, but you loose something somewhere else?
I love my bike as much as you do yours, and I want to have her for a long time, riding it instead of fixing it.
Any input would be appreciated.
I intended to get the exhaust system, psb with the map and filter from the master(JC). I red alot about him.He didn't reply

.I hope at least I can get some advises from him and anybody else here.
Thanks alot

No loss in reliability with those mods . In fact but ever so slightly the engine will run cooler when they have the mods to breath easier . No different than a KLR , put a pipe on them and the oil temp goes way down .

There guys out there with +20k miles on built Busa engines and alls ok . Cams , pistons and the likes . The better one's kept the compression in check when thinking the build out though .

Now for the bad . Mapping .

I've seen maps way too rich and when so , it helps fuel the engine oil up . These 1300R's and other bikes use a piston ring set with much less tension that automobiles . They tend to get a bit of fuel in the oil anyway due to the extreme cylinder pressures and being rich on top when stock . Add a poor map into the equation and you can get as much a 8% fuel in the crankcase . I've seen Motul 10w-40 taken down to 7 centistrokes from normal shear and a map from the Power Commander site . 7 cSt's is a low 20wt

Just get a good map , use good oil and all will be OK .

Mountainmotor, what you're saying I'm sure is right, to me, with no experience and background in motorcycle is difficult to understand:blush:
I'm not going to rebuild the engine, or upgrade it due to the fact that I have just 1000 miles on it(bought last october). And what does 7 centistrukes mean?

End there is a dummier question:
7cSt's is a low 20WT means ...

My pipes are eating my tires!! that's the only complaint i have. OMFG do i go through them fast lol

True viscosity of oil and how it's measured and such is too much to go into right now .

Any map you get from the USA is just going to be a good map at best for where you live . Is there a dyno shop in Nova Scotia you can use to get a custom map made at ?

There is a guy that is saying he knows what he's doing.Being just two busas around,I kind of having a doubt.
I think you're right on the money when you mention the States.Hayabusa is so popular down there,it would be easy to find a map.Any ideas?

It's got to be someone out there that can fix me up.
ANYBODY?

What mods do you have

Let me guess, full axhaust, air filter, pc.

Yea, didn't mess with Engine, But Pipes, BDE filter, Airbox mod, PCIII, Paired Valve Block off, Muzzy fan, ATRE, Bla Bla Bla... was more of a joke post. but yes your tires will go faster once you changed your pipes Etc.

Best map you can get it so have someone put it on a Dyno and tune it right. (not saying anything bad about JC he really seems to know his sh*t) and i "think" he'd agree with that.

Here, far away from the hayabusa land, are few people that they go race in the weekends. One of them has a shop that includes a dyno.I'll talk to him after I'll loose my hopes from good fellas in the USA.

what you need is a custom map made spcialy for your bike by a professional on a dyno. no matter what map you will find you wont be satisfied like a custom map and that everybody will agree with that

wewe, I got my bike from Montreal.Do you know somebody there that would do a goo job with a custom map?
I don't mind going for a long ride,if it's worth it.
It takes just 12 hrs with a vehicle,I think I could do it in 10

I've had no reliabilty issues on any of the bikes I put systems on before, you should be fine with a good map.

thanks for the input,Sounds that everybody agrees that you need a good, custom map.Hopefully I'll find somebody that could do that for me.My main concern is reliability.I'm going in Europe cruising this summer, would be nice to enjoy it instead of looking for mechanics in diferent countries. This is a zuk, not a harley.(Harley owners, don't hate me for saying this)

I don't see any balls on this tread.. get some you,l feel better..

log onto Dynojets web site and see who has a Dynojet Dyno and offers tuning near your. I had a custom map made at a Dynojet center and it made a huge difference in rideability - smooth power low rpms and ripping power high rpms.

Could you give me the right address for the dyno?
It seems that it goes somewhere else besides what I need.
Thanks

Just curious, but is a map required with only a full exhaust? I bought my bike with a full Yoshi, but the guy had no PC3 on it. Should I get it? TIA!
