Ok well it all started Friday night when my high beam fell out and onto my front fender as A buddy and I were about to head out for some food. So I stop to put the high beam back in its place and no I dont know how it came out. But as soon as I got off the bike and walked around to the front and began messing with the light the bike starts to fall. I catch the bike with the left bar and gently set it on the ground on the right side. Afew words and some small scratches later we head out. So then Saturday I'm over at the same buddies apt and we decide to go up to the local Autozone to get something. I agree to the 3 block trip on the bikes and we leave. I know im going to get flamed for this but I was only wearing my hat and sunglasses on my head along with my jacket, jeans and riding boots. So we pull onto the main raod and get up to around 60mph and I go to shift into 3rd and out of nowhere WHAMM!!! WTF?? @@*&%^$@%&*^%^@#$!!! My wind screen flies off and hits me in the face at 60mph. I thought I had broke my nose at first. But the screen hit my shoulder and then the pavement and broke into 100 little pieces. So we get back to the house and I start calling Every parts house in DFW trying to get another windscreen that day or before This weekend so I didnt have to ride to Capt's without a screen. So finnally I locate one and we head out. In full gear this time. After a 20 min ride to the Suk shop on the other side of town we pull up and go inside to get my new screen. I find the one I want Then pay for it and go outside to install it in the parking lot. After I all most destroy this new screen and the nose of my bike in a 15 minute battle to get it to fit I look at the package and it says that its for a 08 busa. Well thats just great so I walk back inside and tell The guy its the wrong year. I then recieve the correct screen for my Gen 1 and install it in 5 minutes. then we went back home and had a beer.
Moral of the story is that a five minute ride could end up costing you the rest of the day and $120 worth of beer money.
Sorry for the long story but I'm also bored at work. Thanks for listening.
