Hey guys here is a message that i sent to HealTech. maybe be someone on here can shed some light on my problem while im waiting on a response from them.

Hi my name is Andrew Dawson I have a 2002 Hayabusa with a G1pro ATRE and a powercommander3. The issue I’m having is with the ATRE is that sometimes while riding and shifting gears it will read (1-2-0-4-5-6) and (1-2-0-4-5-5 then after a few minutes it will switch and show 6th. Also under hard acceleration it will show 6th gear at all times. My question is, what are the steps I need to follow to reprogram this unit, is there a way to tell if the unit is bad, and if the unit is bad how do I get it warrantied so that I can get a new one. Thank you very much.

It's more likely that the contacts on your gear position sensor are dirty...sending wrong resistance info to the G1Pro. Or that the sensor is going bad. If they send you a new G1pro and it does the same thing, then you'll know for sure it's the sensor. Google the hayabusa gear position sensor to find out more about how it works and what it looks like.

Okay guys this is the response I got back from healtech.

Hello Andrew,

Thank you for your email - I'm sorry to hear about the problem.

1) At first, please execute the Learning procedure with the bike on stand
and engine RUNNING.
Make sure you see the "U" flashing after selecting 6th gear.
For setup instructions, refer to chapter 5.3 of the Manual:
http://www.healtech-electronics.com/docs/GIpro-S0x_UsersGuide_en.pdf

2) Disconnect the connectors, and make sure all connector pins are in place
- not bent or pushed out of position.
Spray some contact cleaner, e.g. WD40 into the plugs.
Then reconnect and check whether all connectors are locked properly.

3) Re-route the GIpro harness on a different path, farther away from other
electric cables.

4) If you can not complete the Learning process, or some gears are still
indicated incorrectly, most likely your GP Sensor on the bike is failing.
If you have some basic electronic skills and have a voltmeter, I can send
instructions how to check your GP sensor.

Kind Regards,
/Norbert

Hmmmm! im gonna have to try this on one of my days off. Some times my GiPro does the same thing you discribed, but works right most of the time so I never really thought about it.
