Gas Milage

I didnt get a real answer from my other thread so i'm gonna make a new one. I put the stubbies on my Busa and I only got 90 miles to a full tank of gas (94 sunoco) so where did it all go. Here is a link to the other thread it has pics of the bike incase anyone wants to look

Please tell me what is wrong or what I need to do

Is that the only change you made? New header? Did you tune? Do you smell raw fuel?

wow thats bad!!!! my 07 with full brock hindle exhaust and a pc3 with brocks map and air box modded stays around 38-40 mpg and i don`t baby it. sounds like you need a good map or get it tuned???

I only put on the stubbies and I don't smell raw fuel. I still have the stock header.

Does anybody know if runnig the stubbies will hurt the engine in the long run after i get it tuned. I dont wanna screw up my baby over $80 exhaust. I will buy my full Muzzy before i do that.

$80 exhaust=$80 results.

Without any more info, it's hard to say if that is the only cause for your decline in mileage.

If your stubbies don't have a baffle system, you should budget for a valve job in the not too distant future. Shortened exhaust systems w/o baffles/mufflers will lead to burning and or warping your valves over time. Not to mention the damage they do to the valve seats.

I'm just gonna put the stock cans back on. And later on i will get an exhaust and pc3 when I can easily afford it. Thanks for the info.

Same here, but lemme tell ya....The Muzzy sound is worth $1000.

I just changed the post i'm just gonna buy the full muzzy kit and a pc3 cuz i already have a TRE and a BMC filter and pair valve block off plates waiting to go on so i might as well spend the money. Plus your right I love how the muzzy sounds!
