I am in the market for a gate opener for a heavy swing gate. Anyone have any insight or experiences on one with remote controls and a stationary keypad?

I did Ghost Controls. Heavy Steel frame with 1/2" stock wood pickets mounted on those. Two 8 foot gates. I think I did the 800# rams each side figuring wind resistance. I didn't go the solar option but they have it. Same power box you just don't need the charger. Battery was charged off electricity so you can open in a power failure.

Install was pretty straightforward. Gate swing was the hardest part to calculate so you mounted the ram in the right location.

Remote was straight forward. All worked just fine.

I think they had an option to have a universal remote box so you can add it to an existing opening.

Nothing I recall as cussworthy about it being straightforward.
