Yes it comes with a shift light, that is the white light on the left... You program it by holding the Select button and turn on the ignition switch, you can program the flash and steady light at whatever RPM you want.. I havent done this yet but I have read up on it....

Re-set your Shift Light to a couple hundred RPMs below red-line, and that should help with this issue.
