Gear Ratio Change?

I want to change my gear ratio. Either by changing the front sporcket, rear sprocket, or both. I've heard the hot setup is to change the front to a 16 tooth sprocket. Will that change significantly induce premature chain wear? My gear choices right now are 16 tooth front, stock rear, or go 16/42. I have an 03 Busa.

sounds like a good choice either way. I would say go to the 16 front and see how you like it. If your still not happy then go up to the 42 in the rear. After you make the change ride it for a week or so to see how you like it. It may seem like alot at first but that's normaly because your not used to it.

Also if you do some hwy ridding you better get out there and test ride as well. You're going to be carrying alot more revs then in the past.
