Gearing for a Chrome moly chassis bike?

got an FBR atak chassis with a stock hayabusa motor in it. Will be getting sprayed with a 30-40hp shot. We will be running a 7x18 mickey slick. anyone have a good recommendation on gearing??

Stock busa motor? running that slick your going have gear it down to get it 2 leave.
Im running shinko slick im -1 front 44 rear.

1/4 mile. i plan on running the tire with a lil bit more air then whats typical for a flat slick so it wont bog down.

I would look around on Psychobike or dragbike.com. Lot of chassis/slick/bar bikes, expecially on dragbike.com. You are probably going to be looking at 16/45 gearing, depending on hp and how you come out of the gate.

already posted on both of em. looking like 15/47 is recommended.

15 front ??? Wow I would think 16 but thats on a stock frame.
Have a 16 on hand I think your going run out of gearing to low.

i talked to several more top gas hayabusa guys, all run the 15/47 gearing. seems it may be the case since the slicks are 26 inches tall and the street tires are around an inch shorter.

The only problem with the 15 is that you have a lot less area grabbing the chain than with a 16 or 17 and then going bigger in the rear....

And with a slick and bar, you are going to be dead hooking that thing when you throw the clutch
