Gearing

I'm considering changing the gearing on my 04 Busa. I don't really want to do 180 MPH. I would however like it to be quicker, even if i have to give some of that 180+ top end that i will never use anyway............any suggestions? Thanks.Dan

If you do a search on gearing, you'll find a couple of great threads that lay it all out. I'm with you tho, 170-175 is fast enough, I want more grunt! 16/42, here I come!

Can't remember for sure but it is somewhere between 15-18%.
You can buy a speedohealer or yellowbox to help correct the speedo.

What they ALL said. And the Speedo Healer is the better of the two calibrators. I've used both, and I absolutely love my Speedo Healer now that you can get it with the OEM plug to just plug-and-play.

16/42, the only way to go for the 200+ pounders (including me). Total diff feal of power delivery. Speedo healer or GPS speedo (Garmin ect..) would be a good investment. At hwy speeds i think mine is off by approx 12mph without any adjustment.
