This is more for LSR then anything, these garmin 3's are way too outdated imo to use as a regular gps device, i just need it for testing my top speed runs.......
Added my garmin III to the bike today, its nice because it has big numbers for current speed and it also saves your top speed. only draw back is it covers the top of the gauge cluster. but i have a shift light on the way so i really dont need to see the tach.
Install took maybe a hour, pretty much bent the flat aluminum stock into a almost Z shape(with the middle straight insted of angled) using a hammer and vice, drilled 2 holes into the upper fairing stay and into my home made bracket to bolt it to the bike, then drilled 2 more holes for a zip tie to hold the gps more securely to the bracket along with the velcro, routed the wires for power and ground and that was it.
