Gen 3 Hayabusa body work in Pro Stock

Several Suzuki racers are using the new body at least up front. Gaige Herrera is the newest and best although he spun the tire today and didn’t make it to the final. Rain delay too. Before the rain though he ran a 6.6 et @ 202+ mph! The fuelers are running near 340 mph in the mid 3.6s. And that’s in just 1,000’. What I don’t understand is how a slower or identical et dragster can have a higher mph than the other. Two of them ran almost exactly the same et yet the ‘slower’ et car was nearly 8 mph ‘faster’.

Average speed is the same if the ET is the same. One accelerated earlier and got to a high speed and kept it, the other accelerated more slowly at first, but more rapidly later and increased the speed at the end.

Basically one sprinted first and logged the last 100ft, but the other jogged first and sprinted the last 100ft
