Gen 3 question my friend says my headlight is dim

I’ve rode with two other friends on different occasions in daytime, both have said my headlight is dim when I’m following so now I keep it on bright so I will be seen. When I rode only one time in the dark my headlight seems to be bright but the beam is very horizontal. I’m at stock height. Is this the norm for a gen 3? Is there a mod to improve the dim?

The group I ride with all sport bikes see me fine I think unless they are scared of me hitting them ,so you figure it out .I’m 75 this year and on two since the age of 14 . This is my Hayabusa

You can make aiming adjustments with a Phillips head screw driver under the headlight. There’s a little access hole. Most of us need to tweak it a litt (raise it up) to get it to work best.

I ride with my high beam on anyway because I’d rather be annoying to drivers than not seen.

The Gen3 headlight beam pattern should be horiziontal, has an okay cutoff between light and dark area. Definitely recommend adjusting the alignment up. Mine was too far down initially, considerably worse when I lowered it. I'm betting it is just aimed too far down before any electrical issues. But never know! :)

I used a relay and flipped mine. High beam projector is basically my DRL, flip the "high beam" switch and turns it off and my low on. I lost ability to turn both on at one time, but I don't ride on back roads much at night and so I can be seen during the day. And I really dig the look, ran same thing on all 3 generations so far.

Thanks for everyone’s input, I’m very mechanical and electrical inclined so I’m sure this is not an electrical issue, more so just an aiming issue, I think I will aim it up a bit and I’m also riding on bright now. Thanks again.
Not to sound like a smart a$$ but how much do you weigh?

200+ you may want to raise the light via the screw.

I found the access hole, you mentioned a Phillips head screw. Just making sure as tried a Phillips head and I think I’m in the slot but didn’t want to force something and break it. Just double checking before I go turning something.

Just want to give my views on the Gen 3 headlight..... I've owned all 3 gens and the Gen 3 is not great... Yes its too low but the high beam is awful... Just gives a blanket of light everywhere with no real beam ahead.
Dipped for a 2021 bike should be on a gyro system to stay level through turns... Dark road lean in and the road basically disappeared.
Forgivable on older bikes but not these days.
For me the gen1 with an Hid dipped beam beats everything... That gen 1 high beam light sabre was incredible and cars did notice it.
Gen 3 I've flashed the high beam at motorists and they never noticed.
I'm definitely looking at adding some discreet aux lights.

Kawasaki seemed to have a similar issue and put those auxiliary lights that come on when leaned over to light up the corner...

Seems like a good idea

Is it dim, the horizontal is by design so ur not blinding folks. Is this low or high beam? Did you look at it ?

High beam nice and bright even in day time, low beam fine at night, I’m sure it’s just adjusted too low because I weigh 255 pounds, Sunday I turned on the headlight and turned the adjustment screw about 1-1/2 turns and I saw the beam move up a bit on my garage door. I’ll see how it does. Thanks to SS4Luck for his post on instructions.
