gen II fairing on gen I

is it possible to install gen II mask and headlights on a gen I?
if yes,, what exactly do i need?

Main thing to remember is the frame is the same. Motor is same motor, just bigger. So think logically, you simply need the frame work underneath, which is little more than the Fairing Stay in front, and the subframe in the rear.

Dash panels wont match up to the Gen1 dash. would have to custom that up.

Like stated a gen2 Busa is a Gen1 frame and motor(motor has some changes) with new design/tech stuff attached to it.

Gen1 and Gen2 frames are the same. You would need all the brackets and the skin to make it work. It you looking for an exact parts list... see a parts diagram. All has been stated in this thread. Also Gen2 dash panels won't match up to your Gen1 gauges.

I don't have details, but you don't have to change the harness.
The plug and pin locations need changed. I don't think the gear indicator will work though, but all other guages do.
Several members have done this, and there was one posted last week.

I am not 100% but I think the side fairings are shaped different where they meet the nose. so your at brackets, nose, side fairings, dash panels, brackets and cluster, BUT its my understanding that the gen 2 cluster wont work with gen 1 computer. sounds like a lot of work to me.

You have to either modify the front fairing stay or get a Gen2 one. And you have to custom fit the dash panels to fit the Gen1 speedo. Also the front fender has different bolt locations so you would have to modify the Gen2 fender or just keep the Gen1. Other then that it all lines up.
