I want to know if anyone has done this yet. I like the look the Gen 3 Busa I have a Gen 1 and was wondering if the fairings are interchangeable with the Gen 1 like they are with the Gen 2. I have seen many people change their Gen 1 into a Gen 2 and was wondering if it would be the same. I wanted to know if anyone has did this before I waste my time and joy lol.

I have not, or seen it done yet, but you would need the Gen3 subframe, seat, and gas tank.
The Gen1, 2, and 3 frames are the same, with the exception of a few holes, and the Gen1 has center-stand mounts cast on it.
Given the size of the Gen3 gas tank, you would also need the airbox.
Along with the nose mount/front fairing stay.
Could you just use the Gen3 side fairings, nose, and tail?
I'm sure you could, but you would need to fabricate mounting brackets, and either make fiberglass panels to blend the fairings to the tank, or just live with the gaps.
It's not a direct bolt-on, but effort and money fix all things, lol.
Good luck with it.

and throttle body spacing is different, so the Gen3 airbox would need modified.

If the frames are the same, a 3/4 race upper should fit if u can find one. Just use a projector headlight.
I understand what your saying but when I look online I only see the 3/4 upper in carbon fiber does anyone know if you can paint over carbon fiber?

I wonder if Gaige Herrera uses a Busa frame for his drag bike? It has the Busa plastics but not a Busa motor.
Zero Busa parts. Yes, the Pro Stock bikes use a full billet motor that’s closely based around the mid 80’s 1135E (which is how they got it complianced).
There was a rumour they used a Hayabusa screen, but that’s about as close to anything Busa related on the bike.

It’s a lot closer to 1985 than 2022.

Gaige doesn’t but the announcers always refer to it as a Hayabusa.
