GenII brakes on GenI

Has anyone tried doing this? Just curious, I know the mounting bolts are in different locations so you would need to change forks?

good question i was wondering the same thing too because i wanted better breaks on my gen 1

Better brakes arent the gen 2 thats forsure brembo is the ticket

Go with pads, SS lines, and a brembo 19x20 MC. I have these on my busa, and I don't think I'd get much better braking from radial mount brakes.

I agree. If you're going to work that much on braking system, upgrade to brembo or beringer.

You'd need to change the forks. I swapped the my GEN I front end for the GEN II. I also added 09 GSXR 1k monoblocs, Brembo RCS masters and Revolution Rotors.

Gen I & Gen II are not the same.
Different rotors, different brake lines, entirely different calipers, different pads.

Swap the fork as pictured above and you've got a go.

Got those rotors from Pashnit. Can't wait to test them out.
