Man I watched that screwball on TV last nite grandstanding in Louisiana . Made me friggin sick . Even O'Reilly was saying alright alright , in effect saying thats enough .

That joker in my view was just short of trying to exite a riot .

There is alot more to be said about the Fox show  he did on location and how he seemed to be leading that rather emotional and ultra unproffessional LA Police Chief . He " the chief " said some jack that was flat wrong IMO considering who he is and his status but again , I believe he was lead into it .

I found it disgusting

Anyone else see it ?

He's an idiot! I never had much respect for him anyway, but when he did what he did in Iraq, I almost lost it!!!!!

If he screws around too much,General Honore will put a boot somewhere!

Can you imagine if they just let everyone out of the Superdome and let them descend on the part of the city that had power?? After what happened downtown, it wouldn't be a pretty sight.

Sometimes Heraldo does a good job of exposing a story, I must give him credit for that.  Last night was rediculous.  Part of being a reporter is keeping your cool and reporting.  I'm sure the conditions must be horrible, even Sheppard Smith was getting fiesty with O'Reilly!!

Like I said in another thread, it's a catastrophe.  Nothing happens immediately and exactly like they want it to.

Youre right, logistically speaking, you cant just pick up a phone and order 500 busses, military helicopters, food convoys! These people and machines require support!

Something I was thinking about when Shepard Smith kept slamming home the fact that the people who were trying to leave were turned around and sent back at the checkpoint he was near .

That said , could the reason be larger than what it looks to be and that be Big Brother wants everyone who has been together , to stay together for awhile just incase such dreaded deseases like typhoid and all the rest of the diseases they have been saying could develope have and if contained they don't become wide spread

Saying holding them together , even when they move the masses out long enough to see if there's reason for concern of epidemics . Just a thought

Could be but I really have to think it was to prevent further looting and unrest in the part of town that had power. I understand that those people are in desparate need but turning them loose to roam the rest of the city wouldn't be a good idea. They are moving them out of the Superdome as fast as possible, it's just a logistical problem now. You have to be able to send them somewhere that can take care of them. They are supposed fly quite a few into Tampa today.

I have a very good friend in Baton Rouge and he said it's getting pretty crazy there with crime, etc., from people that came up from N.O.

A police state is a scary thought, even though there might very well be good reason for it...the situation is still just a scary thought...

i didn't see last night, but this morning, Heraldo was a complete moron. he doesn't know when to stop...
