Getting more amperage

Hey all, I’m wondering what some out of the box options might be to get a much higher amperage output on a hayabusa engine. I’m running mine in a car (Jeep actually), and don’t want to end up having to figure something out after it fails. I’d rather deal with this during the build portion.

The stock ones apparently are close to 30a, and I could get an aftermarket one but those are still only good for 36a ish.

has anyone seen something significantly better?

Hello fellow Canuck. Somebody may have done something better in the last 15 years but Rick's re-wound a Busa stator to put out 37.4 amps. Maybe somebody has done better since then,dunno. Where in Alberia are you? I was born in Cowtown.
Rubb.

folks?

following the table at gen2´s manual page 0C-6 you´ll find :
Generator maximum output is Approx. 400 W at 5 000 rpm ==> ~ 33.3 A

to increase that amperage i think/suppose you'd have to put more windings on each anchor of the stator and possibly even change the regulator as well.

if all of this is not enough, you would have to install an external big alternator driven by an extra drive (like used/built in cars, trucks etc.). and all of this with a completely crazy, monstrous technical effort.

seriously - what for?

I’m using a decent amount of power in my build. Electric water pump, 044 fuel pump, water pump for intercooler, and might even need a second fuel pump to fill a surge tank

How many amps does a Gold wing Stator rectifier make?
Wow, looks like a lot more! Like triple the output. Very expensive units too by the look of it. I’ll do more research

looks like the higher output ones are actually an alternator.
