Getting the cam chain back on

So, I installed the replacement head and I am having an issue getting the cams back in. I measured both heads and they are the same - both are 2003. For some reason, the chain seems like it shrank? I have wrestled with this for an hour and I cannot get the intake cam back on. Any ideas/guesses/suggestions?

Rolling the crank backwards while lightly tugging on the chain will unkink it.

Gotta ask...is your cam chain tensioner still out~?~

Make sure your guides are installed properly...

Both ! Rock it back and forth till it's unkinked from down low.

Don't put a 5ft breaker bar on it though Easy does it.

Lack of reply saying <you got it> don't sound good .

If you have to, pull the right side cover off to see where it's kinked or even if it's on the bottom sprocket like it should be.

I got it - but it wasn't simple...
Cam Chain guide got out of position when I put the head on - had to take the head all the way off and re-position the guide - thanks for the help during my panic attack!

stinks you had to yank the head back off but glad you got it fixed.
