Gloves

It seems that my 6 month old AlpineStars SP-1 gloves just melted into nothing (seams started coming open, AS did not do much for me but take the gloves back and promise to send me more....now 4 months later no gloves).

Since I was over in the vendor area pushing Kawabuser's bike out of the way, I decided to get a new pair. I went with Held #2935......simply *great* gloves. These will really save your fingers sould you "touch down" while in low level flight. Not cheap, so sit down before you read the price tag.

I hear KawAbuser's bike is the most pushed bike on the planet! :)
Did you look at the Spidi Carbo Tech gloves before you made your desision?

Ride Safe, Roberto

The rider I support (Shane) has done both, he let me see a pair of Held gloves that he crashed while wearing (160 mph+). I was shocked that they "held" up so well.

So I went with Held.....

I just bought a pair of Teknic Violator gloves and they seem pretty impressive for the price. Molded carbon fiber knuckles, kevlar and kangaroo leather. $105.00 from Ohio SUperbike, although I understand that there is a newer model called hte Violator II.

i ride with mechanix impact 11 gloves. had them 1 year, gone down twice with them on. they are still in one piece and so are my hands. $30.00
by the way i have a pair of uncomfortable $125.00 gloves at home.

I have pair of those Held gloves too. I also have some Violator gloves but there is no comparison. The Held gloves are the best I have seen. Next on my list are the Daytona race boots with the kevlar inserts but at $700 a pop I'll have to wait awhile.

I tried on the Held with carbon fiber kevlar knuckles at Marietta Motorsports booth last year. Waited all year, and bought a pair last week at Daytona. 1-800-FASTLAP

I hope I never test their crashworthiness, but these are the ones to be wearing if I bite the asphalt. The thin kangaroo leather lends a dexterity I've never experienced with any other glove. I expect them to last many times longer than other brand gloves that cost half as much.
