Well finnally have the time to make it to the drag strip bikes not tunned yet but been playing with my PC some and got in running i feel pretty good

Anyone wana guess my first time out runs.
Here is what i have
1363CC with my piddly tunning, 16/42 gearing, lowered and front strap, and adjustble lowering in the rear, Mentzler MEZ4 Tire in the rear.   Stock swingarm

Not sure if i will go lower much in the rear yet i will let ya know when i post here tonight

First time out i'm hopeing to probly start with a 12 or 13 and hope to be low 11's if not in the 10's by the end of the night done alittle practicing but not much Any last minute words of advice would be appricated thanks

Oh yeah and weight around 320 with gear on

you'll be in the tens the first run... well unless you intentionally run slow as crap

Good luck, Midnight! Let us know how you do.

and I bet your running nines before the nite is over with those mods...

the busa is easy to go fast on.. haha even for newbies like us.

i've done about 15 passes on my stock 01.. no strap.. 38psi in the rear.. etc. etc. and running 10.5 @ 134 ish

not as fast as some others on stock.. but ya get the picture.

it's addictive too man.. so much fun!

well thats good pure my first one would be awesome in the 10's but i think i will be a bit timid first time out thats why i said mabey a 12 but we will see bike needs a map and it would be awesome then i'd hit the other little button i installed also

be careful.... hooken ran that gearing the last time we where out and no matter what he did off the start he couldn't keep the front end on the ground unless he eased off the line....

oh yeah seriously I was pretty timid I thought and my first pass was a 10.6

with a 1363 if you are in the 12's I"ll kick you.

I might be able to see 11's but still.... you have the capabilty to run low 9's with that thing

Well my predictions held about true with what i could do i had some pretty lousy starts i think i was letting the clutch out to fast and bogging down wheelies was not bad had one run that i did it for most of the track a pretty excessive one but other wise she stayed on the ground pretty good i think it needs a map or i just need better launch i'm not quite at the top of 4th at the end of the quarter.

And well my first run was a disaster i choked big time killed it off the line and ran a 14.118 @ 127.058mph ouch

I got in about 10 runs all togher i'll post my best 4 and sorry one lane don't read the 330 mark which kinda suck

And my best run of the night

I ran the bike strapped and lowered in the rear at 2 1/2
the only time i ran the wheelie was when i wasn't leaned ahead but then my weight is what helps in that department gona get the bike mapped now and then try again and see what i can manage then hopefully 10's next time around i thought i was gona hit it but fell short after my best run the got slower again but i was getting pretty tired by then that was my 9th run

And fst i guess i don't have to worry about you kicking me i never ran a pass after the 14 slower then 11.7 but of course that was my wheelie one

your short (60') times is where your dieing... get on the gas... with it strapped you should be able to haul ass off the line.

Tell me about it i'm not sure what the problem was heck i was lauching at 7000 rpms and still was bogging down thats why i figured i was letting the clutch out to fast
wink.gif

that and i need to cut some of my weight would probly help weighing in at 300+ with gear on only helps keep the front down and good traction
