Thanks , I started on the motor already, pistons, rods, and tranny next week, and the clutch to follow, cant wait for it to be done.

What pictures are you talking about? Holly has done some modeling.

Cecil when are you racing next? My bike will be simular to yours in many ways, who do you recommend to do the tranny and a number please?

We will be in VA for the next Prostar Race (the first weekend of May).

Call "R & D Tranny"... he will talk you through a series of options to meet your specific needs and budget.

Thanks Cecil, looks good what else would you recommend thru your trial and error? whats your horsepower at this point, I know its all about getting it to the ground, what tires do you run, airshifter u use so on?

My bike make about 325hp at 15lbs of boost.
It has seen 20lbs on more than one occassion.
Most recently, we had a piston failure at 22lbs.
At that time, I was running stock internals.
It now has knife rods & turbo pistons as well as a ported & polished head with stainless valves.
We should be in the 400hp range around 20 - 22 lbs (just guessing.... no dyno to validate) at this point.

My bike is built for the Prostar Super Street Class:
64" wheelbase
54mm Turbo inlet (I run a GT25R.... with the GT35R (Stage 3) you need to step-down the inlet.... VR knows how to do this).
2-stage lock-up by MTC
Air Shifter by MRE (Nitrous powered)
R&D Tranny
Shinko U-Soft rear tire (either a 180 or a 190.... 200 is too big for what we need).
Vortex sprockets

Since you can not run water injection or inter coolers in the S/ST class.... I recommend a timing retard device.

I also recommend really paying attention to detail when removing the hot spots... all it takes is for one to heat up and ignite a flame prematurely and your motor is toast.

Run no less than 4 quarts of oil.... it may smoke... but it is less likely to starve for oil and spin a bearing.

If you push the bike.... things break... try to anticipate weak links and address them proactively.

blah, blah, blah.... I'll shut up now.

Yes getting a timing retard from schnitz, boost control from NLR, and a lm-1 or something like that to tune the bike at the track, sort of like a wideband,

what swing arm are you using? going to go with a McIntosh here.

velocity is saying 525-550 hp, and my race team wants to spray on top of that, but thats way down the road, we have to get this monster sorted out

so with the stage 3 i cant race the class u are in?

No sir.... No aftermarket cams.

With a standard Stage 3 kit.... No.
However, Mikey is running a slightly modified version with a smaller input housing that typically comes on the GT35R.
The rules state that the inlet housing can be no larger than 54mm (I think that's the number.... I may be wrong).

There has been some back and forth on the electronic boost controllers for the Super Street class...
First they were out...
Then they were in...
Then they had to be dumbed-down...
Now I don't know where it stands.

Do you have a link to some product info on this "LM-1"?
That sounds interesting.

Be sure to get the newer style header... I believe it's standard now... but you may want to double check.

And like anything.... give it a good "once-over" before installation.

As for spray, I have it on my bike as well.
However, for the S/ST class... only one power adder can be used....
Either a turbo, OR nitrous.... not both.

Give Johnny "Turbo" Dorbin a call at Exotic Cycle.
He's in tight with both Velocity and Roaring Toys.

here is the link for the LM-1 http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lm1.php

Yes talked to Johnny a while back, very nice guy I am sure we will be in touch with him, he us to be partners with the roaring toyz boys also i think? Bob from Roaring Toyz is really the guy who made me decide to go turbo indtead of the 1397.
I have done a bunch of research and no not to go cheap so I am speaning the money to do it right.

What class if any can you run the stage 3 in?
