What Chain tool do people use to get a chain off and put one one? I see DID has one but pricey? thanks paulo

For removing the master link, you'll want to first grind the rivet head down THEN use the drive pin to push the pins out. This holds true for either of the tools below.

I have a Motion Pro Jumbo Chain tool - works great. Not the cheapest, but it's heavy-duty...

Vabs has this one: Motion Pro - CHAIN BREAKER & RIVETING TOOL

if there is a cycle gear around they had a sale going if you buy a chain then you get some money off the tool...

Have posted these before, but good visual for those that have not done a chain & sprocket swap before. The tools are pricey, but like any tool in your tool box, can be used over and over again, and will last for years. Invest today and save the money of paying someone else to do it.
