It's days like today, I'm proud to be a citizen.
For the majority of my life I've wondered why my country didn't have a national language. I've complained behind closed doors and even questioned a congressman as a teenager, when he came to my high school, on the topic.
Ironically, it seems to have taken millions of illegal immigrants to have a voice loud enough to be heard and ensure change. So, thank you, illegals and their supporters, for your protest. I can only hope you have to read and speak English converstationally or better to become a citizen now. You've inspired my country, my fellow citizens and our country's leaders to act. Thank you!
