Goodbye Buell lid, Hello Shoei

Well, since I landed on my melon a couple of weeks ago and scuffed up my HJC/"Buell" helmet, I needed to replace it.

I finally broke down and bought an RF1000. Holy smoke!
It's light!
It fits great!
It is unbelievably stable at speed!

I got it from Ridegear, 364.00 shipped including a Tourmaster helmet bag. Thought that was a pretty good price. Great service, the salesperson I talked to was a rider. Had a great conversation, even told him about a great sportbike road up the Owens Valley to try......

Great helmet, great experience.

Rf1000 is a sweet helmet, my father has one. I purchased the X-11 and all I can say is OMG.

I just smoked a good RF900 in my crash at Pikes Peak on the 4-wheeler I will have to give Ride gear a try for a new one.
I will always wear a Shoei after my crash. They are the best IMO.
