THIS is how an OS should be. I'm no LINUX fanboy - barely know Linux anything - but THIS is great. GOOGLE front end OS. Does MOST things you need and is TOTALLY FREE! That's right. Free and it does not run ON Windows. It is it's own, full, free stand alone [Linux based] Operating System. YOU can even download it, burn it to CD, and BOOT from the CD and take it for a test drive without installing or changing anything on your system. Wallmart online sells gOS PCs for $199. The interface is VERY MAC like, read: EASY

I'd say MOSTLY but not exclusively. All those GOOGLE APPS are internet connected. But you can run them local or something. Since it's really Linux it won't run Windows apps. Google has a spreadsheet plugin, a Word like thing and a bunch of other tools available. You can install from the CD download, but I was impressed it booted, setup the network and got on the internet.

generally pretty low. just download it, burn a CD, and boot from the CD - it runs FROM THE CD, not installing it... so you can test it to see if it will run on your system. if it works, it will find your network card, and everything just like WinXP does, and get you online with no work other than booting
