One of the biggest deciding factors of me getting a busa would be insurance. Ive read where some of you are paying over 100 a month for insurance. I called today, 35 dollars with 500 deductable. Same as my 06 harley. So now gatta sell my harley and pay of some bills then off on a busa I go.

Go git 'r done!

Rates depend on where you live. It suks for Bill to live right outside Harris County Texas which has the second highest rates in the country. Been w/ State Farm for 20+ years, cars, house, life insurance etc and I still pay $1300/yr. w/ a $100 deductable.

busa_bill, it's a Texas thing I guess, I pay 1200 a year with State Farm.
Some companies wanted as much as 1800.

State Farm all the way. Full coverage $500 ish a year. I also have house and cars with them. Clean record, etc..

Geico wanted $2950 year for a little LESS coverage than State Farm. For $3000 a year with Geico I probably would have skipped the Busa or went with just basic coverage.

Welcome to the board my friend!!

I am shopping for my first Busa, but before I started, I called my insurance agent (Farmers) and asked about rates. For a 2003 he quoted $536/yr. He said add or remove approx $50/yr for every step up or down in model years. I was pleasantly surprised and feeling pretty good about it. Then he said "see, there are advantages to getting married and turning 35".

I also have mine threw State Farm house,2 cars,2 atv's,etc and rate is $900 a year with I believe a $250 deductible( clean record,married and over 30).
