seems to work really well, just another gadget i can play with:laugh: Pretty neat bein able to monitor the pressure and temperature all the time. The location i mounted it works perfect, i can see it in the sunlight and hit the buttons with my throttle hand easily. Runnin the valve stem caps on the rubber stems for now, but once my 90deg metal stems arrive, i will get them installed asap

cut a 3" piece of steel-about 3/4" tall, went crazy with the dremel and drilled a hole for the keychain clip to hold on to, and another hole to use the bolt for the brake holder assembly that holds it on the bars. Tried velcro but it didn't seem very secure so i used 3m adhesive tape. Might experiment more with a bracket to hold it, but the setup works well for now. Very hard to notice in the pics i guess, if u look closely at the bolt on the brake side u will see the small metal bracket
 
Do you have a picture of the valves, well how bog ate the caps? I like that, I always remember to check my tires 3 miles into the ride. how much?

Also, what is that on the top of the clutch reservoir, on the left? Garage door opener?
 
the valve stems are rather ginormous, oh well. Yes that's my garage door opener on the other side. Not sure if they're still on sale or not, but they were last weekend (4th of july), and were down from $200 to $160

so there is nothing to install. you just screw on new valve stem caps and turn on the device which contains a battery?
if this is true, it seems one could switch from one bike to another quickly. is this all correct?
or do you need to take off tire and install entire stem? thx...
 
Yep, all u do is screw on the valve cap and turn the monitor on, no wheel removal or anything required, took about 30 seconds to install. The monitor picks up the tire pressure almost instantly. Would be extremely easy to swap to another bike

I would highly recommend getting metal valve stems at your next tire change. The extra weight on the valve stem can cause them to flex and break. But at least you'll know it's happening with the monitor!
 
i know i know, my metal stems should be here this week and i will have them installed probably next weekend

Ihope to get mine soon ,its a pain checking tire press. every morning,trying to locate the valve ,those 90s are the ticket.Good setup:thumbsup:

I wonder how the data is transmitted.. BT? WiFi? RF? Magic?
 
definitely a nice safety add on. I find myself looking at it all the time bc it's so cool seeing the pressure vary all the time depending on how i'm riding, and knowing when my tires are up to optimal temperature. I don't regret the purchase one bit, other than i'll have to get my 90deg metal stems installed asap
