Got rear ended...need advice

I know I don't post a lot, but I'm hoping you guys can give me some advice.  I got rear ended by a car on the Busa and while it is in the process of being rebuilt I wanted to know what you guys would recommend I spend my money on.

The bike is an 04 and it was completely stock except frame sliders and chrome DB windscreen.  I didn't even do any of the free mods.

I'm thinking exhaust, Power commander, undertail for the basics, but I have more money than that to play with.  I'm thinking I want to add some chrome.

I guess basically the question is, if you had $3,000 or so to spend on a stock 2004 Hayabusa what would you do?

p.s.  I've got about 7k miles on it and have had it since last July.  I mainly use the bike for commuting(50%), cruising(30%) and drag racing out at the strip (20%)

here's a pic of the bike. http://img2.uploadimages.net/991976busa_wreck_1.jpg

I definitely need exhaust and a wheel on top of a new subframe and all of the other cosmetic damage

$3000.00,hmmmm. need another lawyer first! Have you priced these things new from the dealer? If 3 grand is what you got, then get the subframe and rim off ebay or members here, then get a full system like the Acropovic, HMF,HIndle and a PC3 .Youre going to be tight though, because you still will need painting done right?

If the swingarm's coming out of the 3000 it'll eat up 1000 dollars by it's self...

If I had 3000 to spend, Solid black paint, Polished or Chrome rims, HMF Big bird, intake cam installed on the exhaust, PC and a custom JC mapping.

Get an Evo for sure, you'll love it.

No, I got more than $3,000 for the rebuild. The $3k is basically fun money left over/ not used for stock parts to buy extras/upgrades.

Think $3k on a stock bike, what would you do?

I have to replace the exhaust and tail so Exhaust and undertail are a given. I also have to get a new wheel so I've thought about getting some blingin chrome wheels instead of stock powder coated black ones. ABove and beyond that....is open for whatever

So roughly $3k and a blank slate, but must include exhaust, tail/undertail, a wheel or wheels.

Thanks for the comments so far. Hope this helps explains it a little better.

Oh and BTW the fugger that hit me was 15, no license and no insurance and lives in a trailer park with no phone so kinda like trying to get blood out of a turnip. The only money this includes is my insurance fixing the bike. Basically I have $6k to do fix the bike including labor and I'm figuring about $3k of it can be used on upgraded parts.

Full exhaust system....

.....maybe a custom pain job??

something with the rims.....maybe chrome them??

Custom seats for front and rear??? Stitching to match the new paint??

A few trackdays or a school and some trackdays so you can hone them riding skills and have fun with friends.....

....if you don't already have them....GOOD boots, new gloves, full leather suit, new helmet if yours in older than three years!

Complete 240 Wide Tire Conversion Including Chrome Swingarm, Rim Tire Sprockets, Offsets etc. $4000  Including Matching front Rim. Full Exhaust of your choice $800 ( Medium Price) Tobin Seats $250 Undertail $250. Indiglo Gauge kit $150. Prices listed are average list price. If you order everything from one shop you SHOULD be able to deduct 15% as a large order discount which will allow you to get a little more something or have their shop install everything.
Hows that for suggestions?!?

That 240 conversion is pimp, but probably out of the price range.

What about chrome wheels? I know I can do an exchange set for $500 or so, but since my rear is fugged, any ideas?

Not if you think about it... with the 240 conversion kit you get the swingarm you were gonna buy from the stealership, the rim you were gonna buy from the stealership, the tire that you should be replacing anyway and the chrome rims you were gonna spend $500 dollars on anyway. That leaves you $2000 to spend on a Tail section $300 ( New ) exhaust--- Yosh's here on the board NEW for $750 and undertail for $200 which leaves $750 for the subframe and whatever else you may need. Sell your good front rim for a couple hundred on eBay and life is good...You're PIMPIN"

Sorry, I forgot you're rear peg bracket. $50 used on eBay which whittles ya down to $700 left or a new one for $115 which would leave ya $635

is the 240 kit the one with the huge tire? if it is dont get that shid waste of money. Since you drag race and commute and cruise...stretch the arm out drop it in the front and back and get you a hindle exhaust with pc and custom mapping. That way you can have a strip ready commuter

Yoshimura full race ti system tri-oval dual tip or HMF BigBird

Yeah, I thought about stretching the arm and definately want to lower it.  What do you guys think about the spacers for the swing?  I dunno if I want it way out there +6"  although since I have to get a new subframe and tail I could get that stretched tail to go with the extended arm...hmmmm.

This ####'s hard...I'm a speed freak and have a hard time with the whole appearance part.  And that's what I want, performance + some appearance mods...here's what I'm thinking so far...

Performance:
full exhaust (debating between micron, yosh and HMF)
PCIII
16t front
42t rear
lowering links
extended swing (not sure)

looks:
Undertail (still debating which)
maybe extended tail if I go with the extended swing arm
indiglo gauges
painted inner panels
chrome accents (stator, chain guard, oil cap, maybe a couple of others)
chrome wheels..maybe the new powder coating that looks chrome?

I tried doing a search and it has been a while since I've seen it, but do you guys remember who makes the extended tail for extended swing arm?

catalyist racing makes one.

Wow why no hindle in the exhaust choices there?
there is a swingarm on ebay thats extended for inches. i was gonna get it but hey then i'd have to get a chain
