Got the bike, the power commander II but no maps

Hi there, I recently got the 01 Busa, lowered, put some slip ons, HHS brake pads, LED smoked taillights, HID headlights, larger tire on the back and a used power commander II. On the website you can download the software to install the map to the PCII but the maps available there don't seem to be recognized by the dowloaded software. Anyone has any idea on how I can download a map for the PCII. Stock everything but I got D&D slip-ons. I appreciate any input.

Nice Ride and :welcome:... I live just north of you in Jupiter. A bunch of us get together on sundays just south of Moroso and head up to the lake.. Other guys will chime in on your PCII issue..

Thank you! I've been to Moroso once but I believe its closed for "re-paving" the track right? Where do you guys meet? I would like to check it out one of these days....thank you for the reply though!

Can't help you with your PC II, was going to suggest the download site but I see you've already been there. But with bolt ons on a stock bike you probably don't need a Power Commander anyway unless your planing more motor mods soon. Marble mod or Pair Valve removal to stop the popping and ride it.

Welcome. ;) Nice looking Busa.

Get it dynoed with AFR and tach printout. The results will tell you where you need to make adjustments to the fuel. I target 13.4 for mine for the entire RPM range under WOT. Add/remove fuel in small amounts to get it closer to your target. You will get a very well mannered Busa with plenty of grunt.

Well, there's the slip on exhaust I put it on. Furthermore, the PC is not only to get extra hp but to improve the overal bike's fuel delivery. But thank you for the reply!

That's what I was told it was the best way. The problem is the cost. To have it dynoed and the PC adjusted it it would cost me around $300 over here in South Florida. On the other hand, in order to adjust the PC the way you told me would require someone with a knowledge about it. I would have no clue on how to adjust it manually. But thank you for the reply!

:welcome:, $$$ is why im leavn mine stock for now

Thank you for the welcome. I believe there's always a way around. I ended up calling the PowerCommander guys and they told me that I can download the right sofware by choosing either the 99 or 2000 busa models. I will try to save these $300 just like I saved on my pipes, xenon headlights and etc...
