Got the new seat

Well I got the airhawk and my ebay seat in today. The seat was used and had been cut somewhat like a Tobin. I tried the airhawk on the Tobin at first and it was not good at all. Kinda bunched the boys  up even though the airhawk is supposed to have a cut out for that. I then went to the stock seat I bought and tried it. Well, it wasn't much better in the boys area. I tried all different air settings different places on the seat with very little change. The more air you have in it the more you feel that you are sitting on a ball floating around. The no skid material works great because every time I hit the break I felt as if I was waring shorts because my paints got pulled up so far. I did not want to try it on the pan by itself because with the little amount of air that you have to have in it I just know it would have felt very hard. I only road a few miles but is doesn't take far to know something does not feel good. I am still going to give it another try, just wanted to give my first impression. Here are a few pics.

Interesting. What is holding the airhawk to the stock seat?

They come with straps that hold them on under the seat - looks like he did not attach them for the pics.

And Mr8ball - looking forward to your feedback after you've put some miles on it. I currently use beads over my Corbin, but was thinking of trying an Airhawk.

The straps that it come with are not much good at all for the busa seat. One is to long and both are connected where it is pretty easy to get to if someone wanted it. I am thinking I might need a smaller size. This one does seem to hang over the sides a lot and I feel that is where the bunching and the pants riding up is coming from. I know they make a smaller one but I am willing to try this one for a few days before I call them. The seat thing for the busa will always be hard to get for some of us. I have the beaded thing in my car and it makes my but sore to after a while. That is one reason I never went with that set up.

Just wanted to put my 2 cents in, FWIW....
I mountainbike quite a bit. The CUT is much more important than the CUSHION.....
With seats in general, many times, less is more.
Wrap a piece of foil around your stocker, smooth as possible. If u have a wheel chock, great. If not, get a buddy to hold the front end. Sit as you would normally. Carefully dismount.
Gives u a visual of how your weight is distributed on the seat....trim 2 fit u. (:-)
Trim to fit...
That air hawk is going to move all over the place. Comfy in a straight line, but.....
Who wants to just go in a straight line?
