So I'm out puttin' around town tonight. Rode over to Waukee to the Tuesday night bike night, all cruisers, but I had a water, and talked with a couple of guys lookin' at the busa.

Back on the bike, I had to get back on the interstate, and happened to pass a couple of Hardleys on the two lane on-ramp. Of course, I had to pass them at just about redline in 2nd, bang her into third, and watch them disappear in the rear view..

Back in town, I notice 4 kids on sport bikes behind me. One youngster pulls up next to me at a light and blips the throttle, and laughs, just kidding around, so I give mine a friendly rev back. His eyes got fairly large. I saw them later at a gas station, so I pulled in to say hi.

I just love the look on these kids faces as I pull the helmet off and they see the white hair. We had a nice chat, and they kidded me about my age, asking if I shouldn't be on a Harley, but they were impressed that an "old" guy like me was riding a busa.

Fun stuff.

I know exactly where your coming from. I'm only 36, but had grey/whites since I was about 14 or so..and now I'm well more than half white, even the beard is majority white/grey. Hmmm kids think they know, they have no idea!

You're a puppy man

Pat you need to act your age and get a bike more suited to your age.

I was thinking a turbo busa!

Yea, I love it too. I have a shaved head, 'stach & lots of tats. Usually ride with a dark face shield. When it comes off they see a 56 YO guy! That's OK--they soon learn that I can ride with the best of them!

Your age doesn't matter when you're riding a Busa. I may be 37 but I turn 18 again when I get on the Bike. 170+ on the way to work just minutes ago. Now I'm 37 again sitting behind my desk.

The Busa is a very special type of time machine, it takes you back in time momentarily and then returns you to the present

This past weekend I rode my son's SV650 to Mobile for him. It was about a 450 mile trip. I had to take a rest stop about every 50 to 75 miles. I made the same trip (and return) on the Busa in March. The only stops I made were for Breakfast, gas, and bathroom breaks. I am only 56 and the Busa is definitely the right fit for me

I only feel old when I try to get OFF of the Busa after riding for hours
