They all work. However, the rod dampers are more efficient than the rotary dampers. You can buy an Ohlins rod damper for less money and it works better.
If you have a Gen II it bolts right on. The Gen I takes an adapter kit which increases the cost considerably.
No not really. Once you have the damper where you want it. You really wont fidget with it anymore. By the way, there is a nice new Scotts damper for sale in the classifieds.
