Great Example!

The link below is a prime example of what is wrong with the economy in this country!

Dealers not surrendering titles to vehicle that have been paid for in a timely fashion. I had a time getting my title for my bike and truck when I paid for them. It's like a I cant believe you actually paid for it kind of thing. They are selling vehicles they themselves cannot afford. Just like the home builders and banks and these manufacturing companies that want you to pay outrageous prices for their products and they are ready to repo or give bad credit ratings for S@#t they can't even afford to sell!

Great that it is finally being brought up!

Some dealerships not delivering on titles :: WRAL.com

A friend of mine has been waiting for the title on his truck for over 5 months now. He paid the truck off earlier then the dealership expected. It's a bunch of crap!

actually its quite common for the dealership to get a loan to buy some of the cars on the lot. and when they sell them, they themself have to pay the bank and get the title... such a PITA

In the manufactured housing industry.
I know of a former dealer that was not watching his money and was spending
more...much more than he was taking in. Got to the point he was taking in
money for a house and using to pay for the previous house. It was working
when business was booming. He always had bunch houses on line...the spicket
got closed on the housing industry. Last house we built for him online was
stuck there. He had no money to pay to get it, the people already paid him,
that money was gone and he was going out of business and declairng bankruptcy
(I believe he was anyway, way way in the hole to the tune of hundreds of
thousands of dollars). People who paid cash for the house...S outa luck.

So my point is...wonder if a similar thing doesn't happen at car dealers. As
business slowed, maybe they have to sell "x" amount to get to a point to
where your title is released to them by whoever :dunno:

There has to be some reason it takes 5 months other than a lazy secretary.

This is an example of why are the people who buy cars and houses that could not afford them when the builders and banks can't afford to sell them because the don't have the money to pay for them either. Is it not the same thing as a person who gets laid off and can't afford to make payments and then is called a dead beat by these very same people?

that is why i buy used...600$ cars..run them to death..throw them away...bought my house for 500$...tax auction. live cheap afford more toys :rulez:
