Alot of them do work...at certain traffic lights. Most bikes don't have enough weight to trigger off the traffic light changer underneath the stop line...so this works by creating a strong magnetic field, fooling the light changer into thinking there's a car above it.

We tested all of them here at work.
(We are engineering consultants for the FDOT)
None of them worked. Lights that didn't recognize bikes
still didn't "see" us, even with all on at the same time!
Total waste of money. Heck in FL it is legal to run the light.
Bikes used were 2002 Busa, 2001 RC51, 2001 Bandit 600,
2002 Katana 750, 2002 VTX1800, 2002 Shadow 750, 2001
Hardley, 2001 Vulcan, 2002 ZX9.

for reals, what the hell are we to do if we get stuck at a light. I got stuck for about 5 minutes the other day, finally a car came up behind me.

i know for a fact there are SOME that work though...

It would be my luck that as soon as I roll through the light a cop would roll up just in time to see me.

You could just make right turns and pull a U turn. As long as you can turn right on red.

... and that is the right question !!! It seems like many traffic lights here in Denver ignore my presence at left turn.
Any ideas?
stop, look, and listen before you blow the light

I`m gonna run all stupid lights if they ignore me. and then if cops stop me I will videotape that lights ignoring me and go to the court.

The other day Rhythm TheBBBusa and me were riding, all 3 of us on the sensor and couldnt trigger it so we tried to get the guy behind us to pull up in his truck and he just looked at us like we were on crack. Finally BBB had to go back and tell the guy to pull up which he still seemed very reluctanct to do so we had to blow the light very cautiously though. wondered about them triggers. I figure after a minute 30 i'm rollin regardless.

Here's the deal.

You DO NOT have to obey a malfunctioning light.

If a light sensor does not sense your bike, by definition it is malfunctioning.

That little peice of advice came from a local LEO. Seems like it shoud be farily universal.

I work with these things if you notice most of them if they have been sawcut into the surface will have a little X in the left loop, if your on a motorcycle stop on it. It should help pick the bike up, they read metal the more the metal the better. The Busa should not have a problem on the newer ones, but the old ones or ones which have been installed incorrectly we could have a problem.

Now this is what I was told by a local police if your waiting and the light does not detect your bike and has cycled through, treat as a stop sign, and procced when clear.
